Return eligibility
To be eligible for a return, all goods must be returned in their original condition. Items must be:
- In their original sealed packaging
- Unused and unopened
- In a clean, reusable and resalable condition
- Free from damage, marks, odours, stains, or signs of use
- Returned with all original packaging, tags, labels, accessories, and inserts included
For hygiene, safety, and product integrity reasons, we cannot accept returns on items that have been opened, used, damaged, or are no longer suitable for resale.
How long you have to return an item
You must contact us within 14 days of receiving your order to request a return.
Once your return has been approved, the item must be sent back to us within 14 days.
How to start a return

Please include:
- Your full name
- Your order number
- The item you wish to return
- The reason for the return
- Photos if the item arrived damaged, faulty, or incorrect
Once we have reviewed your request, we will confirm the next steps.
Return postage
Unless the item is faulty, damaged on arrival, or incorrect, the customer is responsible for return postage costs.
Returned items remain the customer’s responsibility until they reach us. We recommend using a tracked delivery service, as we cannot be responsible for returns that are lost or damaged in transit.
Damaged, faulty, or incorrect items
Please check your order when it arrives. If your item is damaged, faulty, or you have received the wrong item, please contact us as soon as possible at hello@thesecretcorner.uk.
Please include clear photos of the item, packaging, and any visible damage so we can help resolve the issue quickly.
Where an item is confirmed to be faulty, damaged on arrival, or incorrect, we will offer a suitable resolution. This may include a replacement, refund, or another appropriate remedy.
Refunds
Once your returned item has been received and inspected, we will let you know whether your refund has been approved.
If approved, your refund will be issued to your original payment method. Please allow a few working days for the refund to appear in your account, depending on your bank or payment provider.
Original delivery charges may not be refunded unless the item was faulty, damaged, or incorrect.
Items we cannot accept back
We cannot accept returns for:
- Items that have been opened or used
- Items with broken seals
- Items not in their original packaging
- Items that are damaged after delivery
- Items with missing packaging, labels, accessories, or inserts
- Personalised or custom made items, unless faulty
- Gift cards
- Items returned outside the agreed return period, unless your statutory rights apply
Refused returns
We reserve the right to refuse a return or reduce the refund amount if the item does not meet the conditions in this policy.
This includes items that have been opened, used, damaged, returned without original packaging, or returned in a condition that is not suitable for resale.
